I think it makes logical sense that he can be proud of his creation being so popular that it broke one of the biggest social media platforms. That's about as far as I'll defend his actions. His Twitter profile picture lmao.

Srry if I was unclear lol. Like it would make sense for me to be proud that someone I respect recognizes my work as good or references something I've done, it would make sense for Notch to be proud of the hype around a character he created.

Yea that makes total sense, but the developers of Minecraft don't really like Notch either to the point where they removed all code and references to him inside of the game. So it could be an annoyance to the developers. At least in the Minecraft field.

Its like, the people who work on Minecraft don't want to be associated with Notch, like at all. So when he has a Minecraft profile picture, it makes it seem like Notch is still working on the game (yes people still think that because people can't bother to research lmao).

While yeah it could be interpreted that way, idk I think he can own being happy about this. It's not his responsibility to repeatedly state he doesn't work on the game anymore imo.
