I love how Nintendo refers to 1up Mushrooms as, "Extra Mario" and "Extra Lives". Like which one is it Nintendo? Is it an Extra Life or an Extra Mario? These are actual questions I need the answer to.

Extra lives mostly, but it can also be extra mario because the counter is a Mario head. Lol

Extra mario just freaks me out because it makes me believe that mario actually died and that he got replaced with a clone of himself
