Nothing else than genuinely curious - why do most NSFW accounts block as many 18- people as they can? And I mean artists, not RP accounts (those make sense because they can be called out as pedo) but artists? Again, just curious, watch dumb people who can't read get pissed again

18 is when people are considered an adult. its roughly around the age when the brain stops maturing and going through puberty. during puberty, if people surround themselves with nsfw, their brains picks up on that and when they grow older, their brain will consider that the norm.

the age is set at 18 because puberty can start later than other people. everyone starts puberty at different times. 18 is pretty much when puberty is confirmed over at that point. this is also why artist can block people below 18 so they don't show nsfw to their developing brain.
