just recorded a video in the best quality my computer can manage yet youtube decides to drop it down to 480p anyway. so it looks like it doesn't matter what quality i record it in because youtube just wants it to stay at 480p. thank you youtube.

When you upload a video, it only processes at 480p at first to get it uploaded, and once it’s done uploading and processing the standard definition versions, it starts processing the HD versions You have to wait a bit after you upload to see the HD versions
