this is making me so angry it was just workinggggggg

i had this problem before. here are some steps i took. restart pc and load it through game capture hd and then load it through streamlabs try usb 3.0 instead of 2.0 or 2.0 instead of 3.0 use a different usb cable use a different usb slot different hdmi cables

thank you, i'll make sure to try! (unfortunately i can't do diff hdmi tho since it's the only hdmi-mini hdmi cable i have)

restarting the pc worked! (should've been my first thing lol)
