(2/3)... scared that the algorithm isn't going to let me do so. what is that key that allows nintendo youtubers to upload nintendo content, but still get accepted by the algorithm? i'm going to be honest with you, mario kart wii is not unlimited, but if i branch out, a lot of...

(3/3)...my ideas can become a reality. just something that has been on my mind, and i might just shoot for it like i do with anything else just to see how my channel will do to this change. however, at the same time i'm worried that the algorithm could hurt my channel.

The algorithm is really mysterious and no one can predict what it will do My advice is to make a second channel

i have a second channel already i don't like using it tho because it'll basically be a progress reset from everything i worked up to thus far.

I'd just give it a shot if I were you. Chances are the algorithm is going to be so random it won't affect that much. So long as people enjoy it when they find it and watch it, it'll help your channel grow (Note: this is coming from someone who doesn't know everything about YT)

this is what the algorithm is doing right now for me: "ok this person does mario kart so we're going to recommend her videos on videos that do mario kart related content"

The algorithm is over dramatized by commentary channels who can't accept they're making boring content. The issue is less the algorithm and just that you haven't attracted the audience you're after yet. Stay consistent or at least somewhat, and people will come :)

but its a risk. the algorithm would be like: "ok does this person do racing games or does this person do rpg's?" the algorithm wouldn't know what to do.
