If someone ever tells you they won't use your preferred pronouns because you aren't two people, tell them this statement and they'll either understand it or have no response.
People who refuse to use They/Them have zero concept of English grammar.

"People can't use They/Them because they're not two people!"
Do they not realize that English has words with more than one meaning?
April's a month AND a name, you don't see people refusing to use the name April because "they aren't a month"

yea when i was going through school we were told to do it, but by the time i was around 16 or so, we were told it was optional
basically what we had to do was stand, put our hands on our hearts and recite the "pledge of allegiance" at the flag every morning before class
