People vote for it ironically. It's the "haha funny" track, there is no deeper meaning behind it.

Also irrc VR Search would be enhanced more than it is now. (Although I may be misremembering) so more newish players have a better chance at getting paired with other newish players.

As of right now for example if 11 players pick Jiyuu Village, but one person picks Mushroom Peaks, Mushroom Peaks still has a good chance of being picked. If it was a democratic system, I can assure you it would be Jiyuu Village getting picked, not Peaks.

It'll allow more opportunities for gamemodes/character & track selection. It'll switch voting to a democratic system. So if the majority of the players in the room want X, X is more likely to get chosen.

Although MK8 is mich bigger than the MKW scene so it's less noticeable. I did a video essay on this where I explained this more in depth lol, but I really think Rule Voting would solve this ongoing problem instead of the current plan of Open Rooms.

I don't see how it wouldn't. The community is much smaller compared to other gaming communities. A prime example is just the inacitivty of Countdown. If they keep adding more search options, it'll get harder and harder to find players online. MK8 even has this problem.

I really think if Rule Voting would resume development, all these issues would be fixed and there wouldn't be separation among the community either.

In fact it was that very experience that made me want to go into Time Trials to learn the route and practice how I play the game. I think harder tracks do exactly that, encourage people to know how to play the game better so they can compete actively in online.

That's kinda the experience you get with modding. You can do stuff that Nintendo would never do and harder tracks is a result of that. I remember when I first played Six King and it was online. I had no idea where to go, but I still had fun in the end.

I think separating the fanbase further as it currently stands is not a good idea, I mean look at how Countdown currently is. This is why I kinda wish the Rule Voting update would eventually push forward, it would solve it :33
