CTGP is complicated because on one hand you have the new players who don't like the better players and then you have the better players who don't like the new players. Its hard to maintain a complete balance of features and tracks when you have two different groups like that.

Also if you want to relive Mario Kart Wii in all its glory, there's a mod for Mario Kart Wii called CTGP which adds over 200 tracks to the game with a fully functional online and a very active playerbase.
