For the modeling, no, they used Microsoft Paint for that. The textures were likely all imported at once. Although I can't seem to figure out why there is a plain white texture and several blank png textures.

Just searched through the Mushroom Peaks textures and I found some pretty interesting stuff. Most likely left over from Mushroom Gorge.
