I think he didn't go away because I got the shine the moment he appeared. So I just went for the Giga Bell and ended up at the final boss. Which is why I was confused :3

And as far as I'm aware, there aren't. I looked at the map in Final Boss mode and there doesn't seem to be any shines that are collectable.

Just accidentally did it again, this time he went away. I don't know why he didn't go away the previous time. Seems inconsistent. Weird.

There's this trigger where once the Final Boss is activated the sky turns red and when the sky turns red, any shine you collect won't cancel it out. It's odd.

No idea the precise number. They did an interview with the entire team on Glitch Productions, but idk which part does SMG4, which part does GLITCH, which part does sound effects, which part animates, which part writes, etc

I would say 100% it before activating the 40 Shine trigger that activates the Final Boss, but some postgame content doesn't appear until after you beat the Final Boss. Which makes it unavoidable.

(Also would like to point out that there's like an entire team behind SMG4 these days rather than just Kevin and Luke)

I wish there was like a button to activate the Final Boss rather than the game constantly forcing you into it. I want to 100% the game, not repeat the Final Boss battle every 20 minutes when I'm playing.

Ok this is actually annoying. If anyone doesn't know, after you beat Bowser's Fury and start going to the postgame content, the game will constantly force you into the Final Boss over and over. As far as I know there is no way to stop this. All I want is to 100% the game :/
