For the past few weeks we’ve been playing chess, ISS vs Mission Control. We each make about one move per day, and flight controllers help us with physically moving our pieces on the board at @NASA_Johnson. We are very much amateur chess players, but we were nevertheless victorious in game one. Game two is already underway!

Thank you for sharing. Here's a quick analysis of the game ("Houston has a problem", German though). Please keep us updated. I've read that a magnetic board wouldn't be allowed on a space station due to possible interferences, but this looks like one?! youtube.com/EnfhiVED8xA

So amazing to think just a little over the course of 62 years we went from Yuri Gagarin entering space for first time to playing chess at 17,500 mph!!🚀♟
