All good points. Maybe a reductive tweet on my part. There’s a lot more to this project. Can’t speak for the designer but it doesn’t feel like homelessness is being normalised when more context is provided. Will hopefully have the chance to share more information on it.

.@designindaba funds Bas Timmer’s Sheltersuit, helping him make 250 units for homeless people in Cape Town. It’s a bag which rolls out into a protective sleeping chamber and is made from recycled textiles. (Pic 2 is a jacket and sleeping bag designed for warmth) #DI2020
